good

I started this and stopped after 2 hours. it was so slow. then a month or 2 later I tried again and got into it. it was pretty good until one of narrators had to act. her voice became soooooooo annoying. it wasn't until the last hour that she had to start really acting (or trying) so I couldn't stop listening again, because I had to find out what happened, even though I had it figured out. it wasn't as twisty as people said inthe reviews. but I could recommend it anyone. I don't think there was any bad language or overly graphic anything.

Interesting, but the email chain was WAY too long

I get that the author was going for realism, but the email chain between Josie and Dean was WAY too long. Josie.carmichael@carmichaelrealty to [e-mail] over and over, like 10 times. Like yeah, I get what the email address is, it REALLY isn't that important to the plot line! by about half through it, all I could think about was when the story was going to start again, and the email addresses would be behind me.
I know it is something REALLY petty, but it just got to me somehow...

Having finished the book, I am AMAZED. The level of drama these two women have put into the narration of this book is nothing short of amazing.

This is at once a terribly horrifying listen, and one that is well worth the emotional roller-coaster.
I thought I knew who did it at the beginning, and was right, but not, at the same time... you'll see what I mean at the end...

Interesting and unexpected

Kept my interest nearly the entire time. Some moments seemed to drag on a bit, but overall it was great. Some events were darker than expected, in a good way.

Slow but enjoyable

The plot starts off slow and can be confusing. It took a few chapters before I was hooked and had to know how it ended. The plot did jump around which in-turned caused the confusion. Once I understood the plot and why it was jumping so often, I started to enjoy the story.
Betrayal, jealousy, murder, attempted murder, family secrets, love and love lost, then justice sums up the plot and craziness going on in this story.
Narration was great, I liked the voices of Rebecca and Lori.

Good quick listen

This was a good quick listen mystery. There were multiple timelines (my fave). I was confused about some accents/pronunciations.

Dragged on and on

It just dragged on and on. I kept listening, hoping for a good twist, It I had already figured it out half way through the book. The voice used for the missing girl did not work. She sounded like a whiner valley girl. Disappointing.

Great listen. My first by this author. Narration also well done. Most enjoyable. Recommend highly.

Mediocre experience.

A reasonably good story diminished by the choice of a whiney "Valley Girl" voice for the victim. I could not care for the victim in this story because of the whiney accent that I associate with inconsequential women. The victim had no value so the story had no value for me.

Well done...good story!

Good story, good performance. ...but the men's voices were a little strange and almost creepy.
