Resumen del Editor

We are back with all this business, so we are. You would think the church would be more careful with them doomsday books after what happened at Bishops Point, but it’s happened again, so it has. This time things are very grim. Santa himself and his whole operation up there in Lapland have been taken over by the Dark Lord. Once again, Father O’Riley and Father O’Malley are all that stand in the way of our total annihilation—well, the good fathers along with Jed, Ron, and the plucky Mr. Whan, as well as some new friends: the ugly snowmen and some army fellows and young priests that the Vatican sends to help for some reason, though none of them can bless straight to save their lives. The Beast himself has some new friends too: Siren Head and Krampus. So that’s nice for him anyway.

Find out what transpires this time as it might all end horribly. Although, it’s very rare that that happens. Sure there was that Blare Witch thing, but that was a long time ago now, so it was.

Santa's workshop has gone to the dark side!

Santa's workshop has gone to the dark side, and it's up to the duo of Father O'Riley and Father O'Malley, along with an unconventional group of allies, to save the day in this eighth installment of the Apocalypse Blockers series. With the addition of new friends, such as the quirky snowmen and some Vatican-assigned priests who couldn't bless their way out of a snowdrift, the battle against the Dark Lord takes a wild turn. Prepare for a perilous and humor-filled journey that will keep you guessing until the very end. Give it a read (or listen) if you're ready for an adventure that mixes Christmas cheer with apocalyptic chaos.

Unrestrained and Humorous

I found this story amusing. There were times where the humor was rowdy and a little naughty, but the author has the ability to tell the story in such a way that I often found myself laughing out loud. When you mix Father O'Riley and Father O'Malley with Santa, the Dark Lord, and the doomsday books, life can be very interesting indeed. Steve Connor's narration was great, and his performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Very funny sequel

A send up of a bunch of different movies, this Our Fathers is slightly worse off than its predecessor. It feels like it was written as a holiday special, rather than an entry of the book series. It’s not laugh out loud like the first, but the jokes still fly fairly often. Gone are most of the sound effects from the first book, and that fact kinda made me miss them. The narrator isn’t as good here, either. It’s still a decent job, just not as good. Not as much differentiating the characters, and Mr. Wan sounded completely off. It’s still a very funny book, and I’m very impressed with it. Just maybe don’t listen back to back.

Santa, elves, demons

Okay where do I even start? The performance was great! If you enjoy a book about things that shouldn't exist, saving the world. Then your in luck with "Our father's who art in Lapland. Santa apparently isn't in the north pole and elves aren't very smart.

Funny, irreverent Christmas story!

Our Father Who Art in Lapland by Simon Carr is a very engaging, laugh out loud Christmas story for adults. A couple of Santa’s elves open a portal to hell and release the Devil and Krampus, who immediately capture Santa and the Mrs. and start creating maximum havoc! The Pope orders two priests who join forces with a Buddhist, junior priests (aka demon fodder), Monks, Yetis and fighting air soldiers that save Santa and the world from apocalypse! The narration by Steve Connor was absolutely perfect! His performance brings the characters and story to life. I received a free audio code fir my honest review.
