Beloved children's classic

I loved this story when I was a kid listening to this on my record player. The story was so real to me when told to the orchestra playing accompaniment. I loved it so much that I just had to have it my library to share with my grandson. It is so great to be able to share the same experience with him. This is a classic story that was done very well. The music wasn't cut short as in other recordings I've listened to, and Jim Dale can do no wrong.

Excellent Perfomance

Leonard Bernstein's performance is still my favorite, however, Jim Dale's performance is as excellent. Best for children from 1 month old to 101 years old.

I had this story on a record when I was a child. I used to listen to it over and over, totally captivated. I have to admit I was a bit frightened by the music for the Wolf. I can say having this story available to me jump started my love of classical music! This is a classic! I was so excited to find and share it with my two little ones (who loved it)!!!
