Great listen for all parents!

I have read and listened to many books on positive and gentle parenting. This book was still very informative and had great reminders for a parent who is already using these tactics. I was very impressed by the last section of the book that extends positive parenting ideas beyond the discipline principles and into helping parents be real role models for their children as positive citizens of their communities. She has several great examples that really opened my eyes to more ways I can teach my child valuable lessons in positivity and life skills she will need as an adult one day. The author really thought about the whole child and their future as adults when she wrote this book.
The narrator of the audio book did a great job throughout most of the reading. I am particularly sensitive to audiobook voices and I was able to make it through this entire book without any major issues with the narration.
Overall, this is a great listen and I will be listening again to refresh myself on these very important ideas in the near future.

Truly down to Earth!!!

I love how this book is down to Earth with real situations that parents face. Parenting is HARD! This book brings to light how giving yourself grace in parenting encourages a child's positive development. Great work!

Valuable Information

This book has a lot of valuable information. Although I dont agree with everything but overall it has great information for parents. I would defiantly recommend it.

Well-organized information and practical tools

This is a great book for someone who has just become interested in positive parenting and positive discipline tools. I found it very helpful to have various parent-child relationship moments described in the book and how the author is offering ways to approach these situations. That said, if you have already started practicing positive parenting and have been doing it successfully for a while, I don't think this is the right book for you because you will likely already know this information.

What I found really valuable in the book is how the author calls attention to empathize with the child, look at the world and situation from the child's prospective. She offers ways to navigate around some situations that would have triggered spanking or snapping at the child.

As a parent I am still exploring the idea of discipline, motivation, and revoking child's rights to something they like doing (phone, TV, computer use). I haven't yet come to a conclusion what is a good method for myself and my kids. But, to be honest, some of the approaches described in the book are more like bribes in my opinion, rather than discipline, and for that reason I'm questioning those particular approaches.

Best parenting audiobook on the market

Grace is a phenomenal author - this audioook is easy to grasp and fun to listen to. I credit this book for instilling within myself the confidence needed to be an awesone mother. Best part is - my husband listened to it with me as well! We did one chapter each night after dinner. Grace - thank you for giving my husband and I the confidence and courage to be awesome parents to our sweet Kaleigh!

Real advice I wish I had sooner

Cohesive guidance to help you raise positive and healthy children. There are many items listed in this book I’d like to put into practice going forward. Great examples included that helps you understand what is being presented.

Great advice for parents!

In the last 15 years, I've read dozens of parenting books, taken many classes and organized behavior support groups in my local area. With all that experience, I can say this is definitely worth the read. This book won't take long to read and with that time investment it will equip you with actual tools and support you in your parenting journey. Most of what was contained in the book was practical daily life advice and reassurance. The author also does a great job explaining the *why* behind her methods.

very good information for all ages

This has a lot of very good information for all ages. I didn't agree with every single thing but agreed with most of the information they gave and suggestions. I love how they give you suggestions of things that will help and showed examples of how to do things and went through all different age groups, plus said things to work on with yourself. this is definitely a book I will recommend to other parents!

Very enlightening

Overall I have a complete appreciation for the education in this book. It really brought to light the difference between discipline and punishment. I can’t say that I 100% agree with each method but I found it very informative. There were definite times while reading I was reminded of my own quarrels with the word discipline and how it’s carried out. A positive approach is always what I strive for in parenting my toddler son. I will be taking much of what I learned from this book and putting it into action. Such an easy read and not at all text book boring! I would recommend.
