Ravindra Prabhat's second novel, Prem Na Haat Bikaay, delves into the tug of war of emotions within a family existing in a society. The novel is about a love triangle between Prashant, Dev and Swati and the tragedy, pathos, heartbreak and ultimately death ensuing from a medley of chaos amongst the three protagonists. The novel also branches out into a substory involving a prostitute, Naginabai, and how society views her kind.
The novel, while discussing heavy topics of marriage and love, does not become too discussion-philosophy heavy, and according to a reviewer, Dr. Vinay Das, the novel retains its simplicity and continues to be a pause resister.
