The plot twists were well done and I wasn't expecting a return of certain characters. The detailed areas of planning for fights and traveling could move along a little faster though.

UM? What went wrong??

I really enjoyed the first book. I can't seem to put my finger on what went wrong with this one.

Perhaps dry narrator....not much of a mystery...Seems rushed without much content.
I had trouble staying interested. I went to several different books before I finely finished it.

I guess it might be worth a listen. I wouldn't use a credit tho. Maybe BOGO or a sale.

Completed book one...

Book one story wrapped up and the addition of more characters means a series with more stories to come. I like but do not love this one enough to continue on though...

Rhiannon Frater does an amazing job creating a story about vampires and other supernatural creatures.

Equally great as the first audiobook! More please.

I love it when a series can maintain its momentum and keep me drawn in with each audiobook listen. And that's definitely happening big time in this series. Book 2 of pretty when she dies: pretty when she kills is a solid truly engaging listen. Such a nice unique spin on vampiric abilities and story line, makes for creative twists and an awesome vampiric soap opera. The narrator continues to impress. Please bring the rest of this series books to audiobook version. I m so excited and look forward to this. And make this series appear on screen too!

Even better

After finishing the first book in the series, I immediately moved on to this book. It was even better than the first. The main character seems to be maturing, and she wasn't the only main focus of the book which was nice to see what was going on with everyone around her. I'm excited to start the third book.

I bought the first book, it had some problems. I thought I was being overly critical so i decided to give the second try. That was a mistake. There were too many characters. I had to restart one chapter 3 times because I could not figure out who was who. I would hear the narrator say 2 lines and then after the fact realize it's 2 different people. When that was not happening I was getting lost inside the writer's schizophrenic storyline jumping from one group of characters to another. I think the final straw for me was some mysterious ring that was inserted into the story inorder to con us into thinking all of the past random scenes were leading up to this "planed" part of the book. It was just stupid. I am sorry for being so harsh but it was. Someone mentions a ring one other time then all the sudden it's like the most important thing ever. I turned off the book without finishing it.
