Resumen del Editor

A single secret changes everything.

With no college ambition - or desire to care - Luke Hannon's ready to bail on school before senior year even begins. But when he spots the hot new girl reading an upside-down map, he changes his mind.

Hailey Saldino desperately wants to start fresh at a school where she's free of the snide remarks and hurtful stares. A place where no one knows her past...or her son, Brady.

Luke wants a no-strings-attached physical relationship - until Hailey becomes more than a cute girl in a skirt. Usually his bad boy reputation hooks the ladies, but it won't be enough to land a girl like Hailey. Needing a lasting approach, Luke decides to be honest. No lies. No BS. As the connection between them deepens, Luke shares all his shameful secrets.

Afraid to lose one of the few people who's ever looked at her as something other than a slut, Hailey buries herself in compounding lies. And when her purposeful deceit blindsides Luke, he must decide if he'll walk away or accept Hailey and the little man she already loves.

Prove Me Wrong

"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."

A typical YA book with angst, romance, sluty girl, creepy guy, a guy that takes what he wants and moves on; and teen mom who flip flops between absolute adoration for her baby and denying he is her child. These are all believable of teens. Not a bad book.

The narration was well done. The characters were excellently portrayed.

3.5 Baby’tastic Star’s

This was a first for me by this author, I am glad I got the chance to listen. I even really enjoyed the narrator in this very believable for the age of the characters.

It’s been a while since I listened to a YA novel.
Luke, starting out his senior year in high school, he is pretty popular esp. with the girls. Only he is a little board. Enter in new girl Hailey he kind of sets his sights on her. So he puts himself in her path a lot.
Hailey just wants to have a normal senior year well as normal as it can be with a big secret. She isn't looking for a boyfriend and pretty much avoids all the boys but Luke makes it hard to do that.
I love both Luke and Hailey’s moms in this book there unwavering support is special not a lot of moms are like that esp. with some of the stuff your dealing with in this book.

Here is where I have an issue with Hailey, she knows what it’s like to be judged, yet her and her friends judged other girls. I didn't really like that but its High School so you kind of get that. I just thought Hailey was above that esp. from what she has already gone through.
Same with Luke when met with hard choices he says he doesn't want to be his dad yet he kind of did the same thing. Yes I know High School but I just wanted more understanding i guess.

Over all a great read one I would listen to again to be honest. Its YA and YA is meant to be young adults, know what you’re reading. 

Sweet Young Adult Romance

I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

Prove Me Wrong is a sweet romance about two high school seniors. Hailey is new in town. Her mom moved her here because Hailey had a baby and her mom wanted her to be able to experience being a "normal" teen without the stigma of being a teenage mom. The problem is that that means Hailey is lying to everyone she meets.

Luke is the typical good looking love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy. When he meets Hailey he falls head over heels. He is suddenly interested in only Hailey and making her happy. He doesn't even try to get her into bed, wanting to take it slow. It's hard to believe that a player could make such a complete change in such a short time but we can always dream.

Julia Farmer did a good job narrating. I was able to always tell who was talking and she had good timing.

I recommend Prove Me Wrong for anyone who enjoys sweet young adult romances.

Sweet YA Romance

Any additional comments?

Sweet & Nice coming of age YA book.

This story could be any teenage girl who finds herself in this situation. Its hard being a teenager. With all the normal and life changing awkward things teenagers are going through, it always has been and will always be a trying time for teenagers and adults alike.

While the story is nothing new, it is an emotional sweet story about Hailey and Luke two normal teenagers who are not what they seem at first glance. Even though you know how the story basically is going to unfold, it is an entertaining and emotional listen that keeps you cheering for Hailey and Luke. I liked how the real emotions and struggles of being a teen mom are not glossed over. It made the story that much more believable. The story also shows that not all teen boys are immature, some are willing to step up and take on this type of responsibility. Love that Hailey and Luke get a HEA.

Julia Farmer did a fantastic job narrating the story. Her voices for each character were great. She brought the characters to life.

This is the first time I have listened/read a book by Tessa Marie. This is the only book of hers on Audible at this time. Hopefully in the future there will more.

Growing up is Hard

If you could sum up Prove Me Wrong in three words, what would they be?

Being a teen is tough

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the realness of the storyline. Being a teen in today's world is hard. I'm sure the problems mentioned in this story were around when I was a teen, but sex, partying, teen pregnancy seem to be more prevalent these days. I felt the author had an excellent handle on what teens go through today. Great storytelling.

What about Julia Farmer’s performance did you like?

Ms. Farmer did an excellent job with this narration. I enjoyed all of her voices. Ms. Farmer was able to let the story come to life the way the author intended. Excellent performance. I could see the entire story fold out before me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It was tough to see young love and the difficulties kids go through. Brought back some memories too.

The Narrator was really good, Story not so much.

Any additional comments?

Disclosure: This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast.

Prove Me Wrong was an audiobook I was looking forward to. The synopsis and the cover really captured my attention and I was really curious to see how this story was going to unfold.

The story is about Hailey who is a teenage mother to a one-year-old named Brady. She moves to a new town to escape the bullying she experienced in her school because of the fact that she’s a teen mom. When she arrives to this new town her mom advises her to not tell anyone she’s a teenage mother because she doesn’t want people to look at her differently and treat her differently. I had a lot of problems with keeping Brady a secret. My friend Mel brought up a good point about maybe the area the story takes place in doesn’t have a lot of teen moms and so the bullying would be bad so keeping her child a secret would be a good idea. I however, grew up in an area where teen pregnancy was just normal. Our high school had a daycare, if a girl became pregnant it was just a shrug and she was just another bump in the hall. No one was ever bullied as far as I ever saw. Trying to see the different perceptive was just really difficult for me because I am a teenage mother and I couldn’t imagine pretending my son was my little brother.

I thought the story was a bit rushed; Hailey and Luke were head over heels for each other really early on in the book. I felt like that could’ve taken a bit more of time. The author however did a good job at developing their relationship and I did feel like it was sincere and it really grew despite how rushed the beginning was.

I think I liked Luke more than Hailey and felt like I could relate to him more despite the fact that both Hailey and I are teenage mothers. I felt like he was real. I loved how caring he was with Hailey, Brady, his coworkers and CJ. I really enjoyed CJ the most and was left wondering if we’d ever find out about him and Roxy because I really want to read that.

I felt the end was also rushed and could’ve been developed a bit more. I thought the author had a good concept for the novel. I’d probably read more of her novels at some point in time.

The Narrator for Prove Me Wrong was Julia Farmer. I really liked her voice and she read both points of view well. I actually preferred her as Luke than Hailey but that could’ve just been because Hailey frustrated me. I would definitely listen to more books narrated by Julia.

3.5 Stars

A light, easy, coming of age drama following teenage mum Hailey as she navigates her way around a new town, new friends and a new school, while keeping her baby son a secret. Not as easy as she first thought, especially when she meets the gorgeous bad boy Luke. I really loved the characters and the dual POV. Both characters complimented each other and Luke turned out to be quite a hot book boyfriend. Enjoyable read.

Great Story

I absolutely loved this book it was well written and the characters were easy to love. This was a great listen and a hard one to put down.

I really liked the narrator who read this because she definitely made my listening experience very enjoyable. I will be looking for more she is narrator of here soon because I loved her voice and she had me hooked from chapter 1.

I was really quite surprised at how much I enjoyed listening to this book. This was a first for me by this author and I would consider this a young adult romance.
Which is not what I normally read I'm more into steamy and exotic reads.

But after listening to this book I can definitely say that I would read or listen to more books by this author anytime.

If your looking for a sweet romance then consider adding this book to your TBR pile.

I feel a bit divided on this one.

What did you like best about Prove Me Wrong? What did you like least?

I enjoyed how heartbreakingly realistic it was at times, but not how out of sync and contradictory it was, or the heavy clichés.

Would you recommend Prove Me Wrong to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, to anyone who enjoys ya contemporary I think they'd like it.

Did Julia Farmer do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

This was 50/50, some characters she gave a distinct voice to but side characters blended together.

Was Prove Me Wrong worth the listening time?

Yes, it's short and sweet so no time wasted.

Any additional comments?

Though this wasn't my favorite audiobook, I think I people who are die hard fans of ya contemporary or dramatic books with a high school setting will really enjoy it.
