It started early this mornin' when I should'a rolled outta bed a half hour earlier. Just one half hour might have prevented this mess. But I didn't get outta bed when I should'a, so here I am up to my belt buckle in quicksand.
How would half an hour have kept me safe? Well for one thing, I wouldn'ta been in such an all fired hurry. I might'a thought twice about takin' this here trail through this part of the valley.
