Into these reports from the present Eyal weaves lessons from the past, from the opium wars in China to colonialist Haiti to the Marshall Plan. With these historical ties, he shows that the revolts’ roots have always been deep and strong, and that rather than seeing current uprisings as part of a passing phenomenon, we should recognize that revolt is the new status quo.

Limited insight

Does not compare to Martin G’s “Revolt of the Public”. I just didn’t find it insightful.

Good book

I listen to the entire book with relative interest
However the book doesn’t bring any new ideas; and the facts are not entirely relevant for and against globalization ;

Understand the reality

A must-read book!

In his unique way, Nadav combines economic, political, historical, and artistic information into the story of our reality.

Good observations, very politically biased.

To start off I enjoyed Eyal’s observations about the current global state and found them moving. He was very politically biased however, assuming in his text that the reader thinks that Donald Trump is one of the worst things to happen in modern history to say the least. This left me frustrated and gave me an overall very negative view of an otherwise very good work. If you are conservative or Trump fan I would not recommend this book, it will only piss you off. If you dislike Trump and other conservative talking points, enjoy!
