Davenport & Flowers!

I’ve always liked the Virgil Flowers novels better than Lucas Davenport ones. The Flowers novels have more humor and I like that. This, while in the Davenport title series, is written more like a Flowers novel. So, I enjoyed it a lot. Also the conversations about writing this kind of a book were really enjoyable.all in all, a fun ride.

One downside of this novel is the agendas being pushed. Don’t get me wrong, I totally, totally agree with the author on every point, but maybe it could have been a little less pointed.

Although I agree that some people won’t get the point unless you hit them over the head with it……

Another home run. I really enjoy this series. And when Virgil comes along, you know it's going to good

Sandford keeps cranking out the good ones

Lucas and Virgil team up on this one. The factors that get two Minnesota cops at the center of a nationwide man hunt was a bit contrived, as was the central conspiracy that drove the killers, but the rest of the story was tight. I love the authentic dialogue between the cops and the killers in Stanford’s books are always quirky and interesting. Sandford also wrote a story about political violence and gun culture without declaring his own political views. Nicely done. Haven’t been disappointed by a Prey book yet. Keep them coming!

Davenport and Flowers together again

Another great book from Sandford! I love both the Davenport and the Flowers books, but have found myself looking forward to the Flowers books more recently. Bringing these characters together is a great combo and I was parsing out the few last chapters as I didn't want the book to end.

Excellent story!

This was a fantastic story by John Sanford. I love the Lucas Davenport character in virtual flowers. I am a Devotie of the story, and it was well written, well planted and keeps you interested all the way through. Excellent pacing, well thought out.

Back to it!

A win for John Sanford. Like this one much better than the Miami story. This is Lucas & Virgil at their best, fighting the black hats together!

Vintage Sanford

I love this series. Captivating story lines, often very funny, characters I've come to know and care about. Good stuff. I hate it when I finish because I know it will be a year or so before there is another one!

Love Davenport. Love Flowers. Love them together. great story line and ending. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Does not disappoint!

I have a hard time waiting for the prey installments. This book putting Virgil and Lucas together is well written and fast paced. Action builds to the end.
