Resumen del Editor

When life doesn't work out as planned, Katherine faces one decision after the next - all leading up to the most painful decision of her life. Will she keep her baby?

River Children is the story of a birth mother's journey through the heartbreaking choices of her life to the place of redemption and healing. Follow Katherine as she encounters the twists and turns of life, the breakup of relationships, and the brokenness that results.

Speaking specifically to the hearts of those who have been affected by the currents of adoption, here is Katherine's invitation to walk a mile in her shoes - hopefully, to gain understanding and empathy for the brokenness that often leads a birth mother or father to consider giving up their child for adoption.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, discover with Katherine the One who gives beauty for ashes, the One whose love extends to us all and carries us down the river to our destiny.

Within listening to River Children:

  • Gain a better understanding that elicits empathy and compassion to support those who are being impacted by adoption
  • Katherine's true account will encourage and solace those affected by adoption
  • See what God can do in and through the lives of imperfect families by making good grow from the soil of pain and disappointment
  • A story that gives prospective adoptive parents a glimpse into the birth parents' experience so as to help them be able to comfortably approach the biological parent(s) if open adoption is in place
  • It may provide for you another perspective by which to view your own adoptive process
  • For the adoptive child or adult to conclude with confidence that your adoption was done out of pure, undeniable love for you

Unflinchingly honest and uplifting

Amazing book! The author is so brave in her honesty about her experience and writes in such a compelling way I finished it in one sitting. I would never have believed a book about this sensitive and at times divisive subject could be uplifting, joyous, heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to know more about adoption or about how to face difficult life decisions. This story will stay in my heart.
