Love this book just as much as I’ve loved the other books in this series. The love story was awesome. Erin out did herself writing this book!! Can’t wait for the next book!!!!!

Rocked Bayou - Need my Own Collin Bodyguard!

Rocked Bayou is definitely one of my favorite books by Erin Nicholas, and hearing the characters brought to life by Connor and Angelina really elevated the story to the next level!

Hayden Ross comes around Autre looking for help from her friend Henry after a close call with a stalker. Things are hitting too close to home and she knows that she can trust her friend with her life. However, when she shows up at his house, she has a run in, literally, with the brickhouse that is Colin Daly.

The attraction between these two was intstant, but Colin knows that he needs to do his absolute best to stay away from the curvy beauty that is a few years younger than him AND a potential client. But of course that is always easier said than done.

This book was so enjoyable from start to finish! It's full of family, good friends, a town full of meddling people that just want to see everyone live their dreams, and plenty of chemistry and steam to keep you listening straight through.

Favorite of the Series

Colin and Hayden were definitely my favorite of this series. Colin has the swoony accent, obviously, but also cooks? Yeah, I’m already won over. Overprotective isn’t usually my jam, but when there is actually danger present, I am here for it. I loved how Colin didn’t hold back. Sure, he tried to stay professional for a time, but when he gave that up, he was all in. Hayden was amazing as well. She was protective and caring, while also being sweet and fierce at times. And not just with Colin, but with everyone. I also liked that there was a bit of suspense. It kept me frantically turning pages until the end.

After helping support her siblings reach their career goals Hayden’s dream of singing professionally is within her reach. The only problem is that she has attracted the attention of the wrong person and Colin has decided to handle her protection personally.

Colin has spent the last decade providing security for Fiona, a princess and her daughter, however they became more like family, and they still remain friends. When he meets Hayden, he knows that protecting her will help the business professionally, but it isn’t long before he can’t imagine a future without her in it.

Hot chemistry, a heartwarming romance and a little intrigue as Colin and Hayden realize that when it comes to their dreams for the future the only thing that really matters is each other. The characters draw you in and there is a great cast of secondary characters that leave you wanting more of this series. The narrators did a wonderful job at bringing out the personalities of the characters and their story.

This version is amazing!

I adored reading Rocked Bayou. Fun bodyguard troupe with some much to love. Hayden is a joy…..Collin is everything and we get to see some amazing friends we’ve met in all the Bayou series….a perfect addition to the series…….BUT OH my the voices of these narrators take this story to an entirely different level! I 100% recommend listening to this one!!! Yummy yummy!

Great story and narration

I really enjoyed listening to Rocked Bayou especially Connor Crais with his Irish accent. Both narrators did a great job bringing this story and the characters to life.

Loved Colin & Hayden

Erin delivered another fun trip to Autre. I can’t get enough of her Bayou stories. Colin and Hayden’s story was a fun, sweet, steamy good time. When Hayden is getting unwanted attention from a fan she goes to get help from Colin and his team. These two had chemistry from the start and I loved watching these two get to know each other during their time together. I love the relationships between them and the team also, they were a found family and protect each other. Another great story from Erin that I couldn’t put down.

The story is told in third person and is narrated in duet by Connor Crais and Angelina Rocca. These two were amazing at bringing Colin, Hayden and the town of Autre to life and I loved every moment of their performances.

Bodyguard Romance that gets you in the feels.

Angelina and Connor did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. The instant connection, the joking friend group, protection from harm, the journey to make dreams come true and the realization of what the true dream really is.

There was so much fun and lightness between the heavier moments and I had so much fun listening to this one. Angelina brought me to tears a couple times and that automatically makes it something I will listen to again.

Rocked Bayou was full of the small town charm, delightful characters, intense chemistry and heartstopping emotions with a dash of suspense that I’ve come to expect from this author. I’ve been anxiously awaiting Colin’s story and he was worth the wait. Colin and Hayden were absolutely adorable and their story had so much heart.

Hayden was pure sunshine. After being content to be on the sidelines in her family for her entire life, she’s finally stepping into the spotlight with her own career, but she’s drawn the attention of a stalker so she needs the help of Colin’s security agency to keep her safe. I loved Hayden and how she wasn’t afraid to speak her truth. She made herself vulnerable time and time again and wore her heart on her sleeve. She brought joy into everyone’s life, but she still felt that she wasn’t enough. Colin and her new friends help her realize what is truly important in her life.

Colin was protective and growly and just yum. I absolutely loved Colin’s heart. He would go to any lengths to protect those he loves and nothing will get in his way. He’s possessive yet so tender and caring. We get some insight into how he’s feeling now that he’s no longer guarding Saoirse and it’s heartbreaking. He had essentially been her father and now he’s struggling with not being in her everyday life.

Both Colin and Hayden are caretakers. They like to make sure that their people are provided for and taken care of in any way that they can and are so perfectly matched. They understand one another and their blossoming relationship was so much fun to watch. The banter and chemistry that they had was electric and I loved how they supported one another.

I also listened to the audio of this title and it was FIRE!! Connor Crais is perfection as Colin. His accent is yummy and he does the growly protector character so, so well. Angelina Rocca narrates Hayden and I loved her. She really brings all of the emotions that Hayden feels to life. This is a duet narration which I absolutely love and I fell in love with this book all over again while listening to it.

Full of humor, heat, and so much heart with a bit of angst, Rocked Bayou is another great addition to this series. We get another fantastic couple in Hayden and Colin and get to revisit the Landrys and all their craziness once again. I’m so excited to see what’s in store for our favorite bodyguards and Royals next.

I want me a Colin.

loved this story of Haley and Colin. they sparked from the get go. I love how she took care of everyone but no one took care of her. until Colin. I love how they were all one big family.
I hope Henry ,Cian, and Jonah get a story.

Erin's books are my favorite on audible.
the narrators were perfect for these characters.

can't wait for the next book.
