Sweet romance

I thought this was a good sweet romance. It started off with a one night stand but ends up being so much more.

Keffer and Dara meet at a wedding and have a drunken one-night stand. Dara confides in her best friend who husband happens to be Keefer's brother. I love how Dara is quick to realize that she can care for a baby on her own. I like the insight into what the man goes through mentally in awkward situations.

Loved it

This book is so good. Full of laughter, love, and steamy scenes. The narrators are perfect, giving it the feeling that you are watching instead of just listening by making the story come alive.

I will be looking for Rye and Ash's tale of love, as well as June's journey to happiness. Can't wait to see Oliver fall in love with that special woman and if they make it to the altar before the baby comes out of he keeps up the family tradition.

Great read!

I normally don't like the pregnancy Trope, but this one was awesome. The banter between the MMC and FMC is funny.

A fun enemies to lovers, suprise pregnancy romance

This was such a fun and easy listen! This author is an incredible storyteller!! And, you will love this series.
Each book will draw you in, and take you on an incredible journey, this is an Enemies to Lovers and surprise baby romance. The characters grow throughout the book and were relatable.
This book had humour, pranks, family love, emotional moments and some steam.

Secret Daddy Next Door (Hawthorns) by Callie Stevens. Good story with mild yet engaging drama, charming characters, easy banter and wicked pull between Kiefer and Dara. I enjoyed this story on audible and would recommend to others that enjoy contemporary romance with surprise pregnancy that leads to beautiful consequences. Rye Linden arranges for her best friend Dara Palmer, new to town, to make the cake for her stepson’s wedding. Continuing to help Dara out, Rye provides a place for her to stay which happens to be next door to her mystery man, Keifer Hawthorn. He immediately upon his return home thinks she is stalking him. So he pulls crazy childish stunts that annoy her. The dual narrators for the audiobook version, Melissa Connell and Scott R. Smith, bring the “reading” experience alive for the listener. They do a good job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate and more realistic impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Light Enemies to Lovers Story!!

With a family like the Hawthorns, like father, like son (times two). This is a fun little surprise pregnancy, "enemies" to lovers vibe story!

Dara was driven and likable, but she wasn't expecting to be expecting, so soon in her life. Much less with a random one night stand! I liked Dara, she has her life planned out and is determined to do things on her own. She has a passion for baking and would like to open her own bakery, and is avoiding using her best friend, Rye's funds to do it.
Kiefer, I liked him in the other books, but in this one, he had some work to do. I started liking him (again) towards the second half of the story, so hold out hope for him!
Dara and Kiefer had amazing chemistry! I liked their scenes together!

I do wish the blurb was a little different. I think it, compared to the story, don't quite fit together. It's a good blurb, and it's one of the reasons I (metaphorically) picked up the book, but I do wish for a little change to it to fit the story better.

This is the third book in the series and it is a complete standalone. The other books do not have to be enjoyed prior to this one to make sense of the event, but I do recommend reading them because they are fun stories!

The narrators were wonderful! They've narrated the previous books in the series and they still do a great job getting into these characters and bringing them to life!! The female narrator narrates Dara's chapters and the male narrates Kiefer's chapters. I listened at 1.2x speed.

Fantastic!

Another amazing look into the Hawthorn family, with this book focusing on Keifer's very bumpy road to love and happiness. Keifer never suspected that he would meet his dream girl, Dara, at his brother & best friend's wedding. Then again Keifer isn't wanting anything more than a one night stand as he is leaving on a business trip for 2 months. Imagine his surprise when he returns home and there she is again, living next door. Secrets keep these two from reliving the best night of their lives and turns them into enemies. As events spiral some secrets are discovered. Are Keifer and Dara ready to face the music? This book will have you feeling all the feels. Can't wait to see what comes next for the growing Hawthorn clan.

The narrators are absolutely amazing. They really bring the story to live and truly bring out the emotions throughout the entire book.

Loving Keifer

I originally read this as an e-book and really enjoyed it, so when I received the audiobook I was intrigued. I really enjoyed the inflections used by both voice actors which made this story engaging.
