Good story, but way too much neurotic inner monologue for me.
Overall I liked the story. It was frustrating that it took until chapter 17 for anything other than being bombarded with the thoughts of the POV character. Once it got through the almost cartoon like phase of the story it was grounded and interesting. I almost gave up because it was so frustrating, but I am glad I stuck it out. Great narration!

Brought to life
I read Settle the Score and liked it a lot. I bought the audible version to listen to Pete Cross. He narrated another of Kris Ripper's book The Love Study. in the same way, Pete takes a fun read and brings it to life making it even better. Lines that made me smile or chuckle while reading the book made me laugh out loud due to Pete's delivery. I listened to this while driving a 3 day trip and it made the trip much less boring. I highly recommend it.
