Resumen del Editor

It's July 2008, and uber-geek Liquin Sonos journeys back to the one place on Earth where he feels normal: the San Diego Comic-Con.

Accompanied by first-time attendee Kate, socially inept would-be animator Windsor, and the flamboyant talent agent Brigham, Liquin delves further into the sex- and drug-fueled parties that underscore the convention and his mind and spirit wear down, he must confront his own creative ambition and loneliness to discover his life direction as the ultimate outsider.

Sex, Drugs & Superheroes is the hereto untold story of the famed San Diego Comic-Con. From a stark look at the camaraderie, rivalries, vernacular language, and traditions of Comic-Con, to the love-hate relationship with the Hollywood establishment that feeds it, never before has a book covered the nature of the American geek subculture.

The first in an open-ended book cycle following the adventures of Liquin and his friends as they follow their dreams, Sex, Drugs & Superheroes speaks to anyone with a love of all things geeky, or to anyone who has ever had a creative dream.

Refund please?

Is it possible to give negative star ratings?

I started listening to this on Audible today because I'm a total geek and nerd, and am very excited to be going back to Comic-Con in a few short weeks, and the premise sounded interesting. The writing isn't terrible, but also doesn't really stand out.

That said, I had to stop listening at the start of Chapter 4, when it got to the passage below:

"An announcer boomed over the loudspeakers reminding us that no photography of any kind would be tolerated during video presentations upon pain of death-yeah, like that ever worked—and that panels were not autograph sessions, so to please refrain from asking celebrities for signatures during the presentation. For old hats like me, or even newbies like Kate, all of this seemed a bit unnecessary. Yet every year, some clueless geek- possibly due to autism or some other mental condition that inhibited social grace- interrupted a panel or used the Q&A time to ask for an autograph."

I'm a Special Education teacher, am married to someone with Autism, and have a nephew with Autism. This was incredibly insulting Just utterly disgusting. You're really saying that the jerks who ignore the rules at Comic-Con are the ones with Autism? Go to hell Mr. Reddish.

If it wasn't well outside the refund period since I bought this, I'd be requesting a refund immediately.
