a bit disappointing
I love the Spellmonger series. it is far and away my favorite. unfortunately this isn't the best offering. it's a bit dull. It is also lacking some parts of the story I was really hoping to hear. it comes off as a set up for future books and not it's own story.

A fun and in depth world.
All of Terry Mancour’s books series have a rich world built throughout the multiple series. This series is a prequel based around a family of shadow mage thieves as they battle against forces trying to subvert control over the government. It leads up to the point the family enters the spellmonger series. Definitely worth a read.
