Lucius Reste, an impoverished urchin boy dwelling in the bile-stinking pits of a druidic city infested by the roots of a dark god which grows from a great ash, hungry for blood and bone. Trapped behind the edge of its inescapable forest, he navigates the oppressive nature of his lot, looking for a way out.
Shiloth Boondar, a Satyros deserter, birthed from a bloodline of elk-like men, bunkered in a cave system built by ancient gnomes. Sustaining multiple injuries and shame, he’s forced to wait out the battle he left behind and find the truth of his beast-like nature.
With each passing moment, something in the universe conspires against the fate of the world.
