Shangry! is the first comedy album from Shang, a comedian from Brooklyn known for his explicit style and harangues on race, sex, and culture. With a high, animated voice and an apparent delight in his ability to shock and annoy, Shang treats listeners to his take on hip hop role models (Li’l Kim is not one of them, according to Shang), "menstrual Armageddon", women’s rights, and more. Shang has been featured on such programs as Politically Incorrect, NBC Comedy Showcase, and The Jamie Foxx Show. This performance before a live audience was originally released in 2000.
