There are a lot of people who will debate the existence of guardian angels. Author Derrick Cutter isn't one of them.
Having been raised in a home that was being destroyed from within by alcohol, drugs, and violence, he ran away from home at age 16, longing for freedom from his own private prison.
Alone and frightened at first, he would soon meet up with his new best friend, a large white dog named Sheva, who, over the next several years, would show Derrick beyond the shadow of a doubt that guardian angels really do exist, and at times, have paws instead of wings.
