Cai is a tortured soul. Her mother tried kill her when she was 12, and she was put into foster care. On a school trip to NYC, she killed the man who tried to sexually assault her, and was forced into a plea deal. Involuntary Manslaughter. The judge offers her a choice; juvenile detention until 18 and ten years probation, or an all girls Catholic school run by nuns. Cai chooses the school.
Sister Elizabeth was a lesbian. According to her parents and her Pastor, this was a great sin and the only way to atone was to become a nun. After 10 years, she's content, teaching at a Catholic boarding school for troubled girls in upstate NY. Then one day, a girl shows up that has her in a tailspin.
The story that follows leave you wondering if she made the right choice. Follow Cai's journey through a world of deception, manipulation, and forbidden love. Will there be broken vows? Will Cai have her happily ever after.? Life doesn't always turn out the way we hope.
