Not long ago, becoming a published author was something that only happened to a very few lucky individuals. Authors didn’t have much of an option outside of traditional publishing methods. The odds of having your book approved and published, using these traditional methods, were very slim.
The main problem with traditional publishing is that there are a lot of hoops you must first jump through, just to get a chance of having your book looked at, yet alone be approved for publishing. You almost need to have a connection on the inside to have any chance of being successful.
Luckily today, writers no longer need to worry about this, thanks to the abundance of self-publishing tools and marketing techniques. Every writer now has the same equal opportunity to become a successful published author.
