Monty grows closer to the survivors of the safe room and leads them back to his ranch, where they prepare to meet the disaster head on with the aid of more like minded people they meet. Monty still doesn't trust Jane, the assassin who killed his stepfather, who implicated in causing the solar flare that started the apocalypse. They all must work together to survive.

A great addition to this compelling series!
I like AJ Newmans work on this series. It is a bit idealistic but that’s something that is fun now and again. The main character, his brother and the assassin turned good girl? Are all fun
