STANLEY BUTTERS is 10 years old. He has a hero - his Great Granddad, Sidney, a comedian who played the Palladium in the 50s and 60s (even if it was at the bottom of the bill). He has a passion - to be just like his Great Granddad and fulfil his dream of performing at the Royal Variety Performance - in front of the Queen. Armed with Sidney's wisdom and training and his secret box of destiny, Stanley is working towards his dream. One day on a school trip to the Drury Lane Theatre, Stanley gets his chance. He performs his routine on stage although there's no one to see him do it. No one that is, except for one very special person who sees his act, just before Stanley mysteriously disappears......now the hunt is on for the missing boy.
This wonderful, warm hearted story, read by Annie Aldington, an actress with hundreds of audio books to her credit, will appeal to listeners of all ages. You won't be able to resist Stanley Butters - He'll melt your heart.
