Good Story but annoying sound effects

Good story but the annoying sound effects in the background grow extremely tiresome and become distracting

the war goes on.

If you are blind like I am, and you would like to experience the clone wars, listen to all the novels in the series. They are just like the clone wars tv series episodes.

great story of the clone Wars ear , well written and a most likable read

Good story / even better performance

This is the first part of a two-part story. It's interesting to listen to and the narrator's performance makes it even more interesting. You have to buy the second book of the series so it leave you wanting more. This isn't necessarily bad...it just leaves you wanting more at the end.

Clone Wars Shines Brightest With Karen Miller

Miller does it yet again. After her previous Clone Wars books (most notably the masterpiece that was Wild Space), I knew I was in for a treat when I purchased this. It is a perfect continuation of her previous work, and even references battles and events from them. Obi-wan and Anakin play off each other very well, and Bail Organa is as enjoyable as ever. It's nice to see the dynamic between Obi-wan and Anakin, they have a tight bond, yet will fight over the course they must take. Seeing them overcome this for their mission was interesting. Much to my pleasure, the plot does not get resolved until the second book. Meaning I get double the content!

The plot is not complicated, and it does a good job at pacing. However, there are some nitpicks I have. Probably the most glaring was how often Anakin automatically would say "this is like Tatooine" or "this reminds me of my mother" which annoyed both Kenobi AND me with how often he did that. However, that wasn't enough to make me dislike the book in the slightest.

What would have been a great book became phenomenal when Jeff Gurner began speaking. The man does perfect voices for all characters, male or female. His Obi-wan voice is especially exceptional. No doubt the second book will be just as good.

The story was so detailed, had twists, and was so fascinating! I prize this story so much. The performance was also great. There was background music and sound effects, but it adds to the story. I wish it could be longer, but it's still a really lengthy listen. Overall, this is in my top 5 Star Wars Audiobook recommendations. Keep it up!!🔥🔥🔥

I love the drama! it really maintains the feelings the original star wars movies brought. the sound effects are also amazing and really help you get immersed in the universe

This is only half of the story of Clone Wars Gambit. The whole story consist of Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth and Clone Wars Gambit: Siege. It's really a long mission.

Great side story

A great side story and look into the adventures of Obi Wan and Anakin. It is a bit wordy and drags for a little bit in the back story but a thrilling tail and what a cliff hanger. Definitely looking forward to the next book. Narrator did a great job. The action packed music adds a great thrill.

Good story, awesome to have some clone wars content

I don’t think this book is actually abridged. Seemed to be full content without anything cut.
