Cut off from Coruscant, the Jedi Masters must reckon with an unwelcome truth: While no one thinks more about the future than the Jedi Council, nobody needs their help more than those living in the present.

Great for the obscure Jedi

I loved how every Jedi was written. It has made me really love the Jedi we didn’t get to see in the clone wars television show

Great Star Wars Story!

This was a Star Wars story every fan should have in their library. The action is jammed packed with excitement and good character stories. Definitely one of the best!

Star Wars: The Living Force

Exciting story during the time-frame a few years before Star Wars I - The Phantom Menace.

Yoda, Yaddle, Mace Windu, Sifo-Dyas, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and many more all star in this adventure where the Jedi will have to team up with the Republic army when Outposts are being decomissioned but also pirates are teaming-up and attacking Jedi and the people of a planet.

The main villain was abandoned by the Jedi (by Master Sifo-Dyas) and wants to take revenge on the Jedi by killing as many of them as possible.

Good prequel-level story for already established characters

Good story. Would have liked a story that pertains to Qui-Gon and Obiwan that would see them leading up to the events of Episode 1, but this is none the less a good story that highlight each Jedi council member and what it means to be a Jedi.

Classic Star Wars story telling at its finest with one of the best narrators out there for audiobooks

Great performance

Always love to hear Marc Thompson narrate. This book was intriguing and a fresh story that included character’s perspectives that we don’t usually get to see. We get a look into the state of the order and council before the phantom menace and see the factors that are slowly eating at the order. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the Cast of Jedi Characters

I enjoyed this book and the different side stories that took place connecting to the overall storyline and other members of the council. It was well written and fun.

Pretty darn good!

I do not like the Jedi Council of the prequel era, however John Jackson Miller keep me entertained and invested. I forgot how good he is as a storytelling. It's a smaller scale adventure which is also charming and refreshing. Definitely a recommend.

Wow! One of the best Star Wars books to date!

I have almost every Star Wars books to date on Audible. First off, typically this type of writing is usually something I expect from Timothy Zahn and of course there is no better narrator than Marc Thompson, literally, that vast of a difference between Thompson and others. This book was written so incredibly well, with the Jedi Council we all know and love from the Galactic Republic. One of my biggest gripes about Star Wars books these days is their affinity to draw out plot lines, similar to that of the Storm and Marcian Roh. But this book does a phenomenal job in creating a humorous, adventurous and well devised plot lines and ensnaring every major council member of the Jedi Council. Evan Peele is awweeessssoome! I won’t ruin it for you, but just know from a person who has more than 30+ Star Wars novels in his library, that this is amongst the top, in the company of The Thrawn Ascendency and other Zahn Star Wars novels! Great job and wonderful book! Can’t recommend it enough!
