Resumen del Editor

While some of today’s workforce is made up of deep-rooted, dependable staff, a larger portion of roles are transitioning into revolving doors of employee turnover. This impacts levels of customer service, productivity, and profitability. The only way for organizations to successfully and sustainably face the new realities of today’s workforce and the evolution of employee expectations is through a deep understanding of how to effectively hire and manage shorter-term workers who have a different view of the workplace.

This insightful, breakthrough audiobook by Cara Silletto and contributing author Leah Brown is designed to help leaders at all levels discover exactly how our workforce has changed over time, why employers are struggling to keep talent, and how to gain better staffing stability.

Worth Reading

It is a good book that tackles the age old question of employee retention. Like many before, it is the problem of wisdom and youth trying to work together. It always has been and always will be a struggle to merge the two cultures under one roof. It is never a bad idea to read books to learn new perspectives. This book was one that gave fresh content on age old situations using updated terminology to describe the same issue employers have always had. What we really need are books on how to change the culture of "the government will give me a check" to a person having standards that are above that. How do you compete with a government that gives away money like it grows in trees or one that creates "non-essential" jobs that can draw a paycheck for months to years with no actual work done.
