I love it!

Story was unexpectedly funny. Lots of drama and suspense with a bunch of thwarted romance thrown in. A few sexy times (mild). Narration was okay. Like the interactions of the main cast of characters.

The beginning of an AWESOME storyline and world

The narration for all five books was by Kitty Bang. She did a great job with this. I was able to discern each character without difficulty.
Story: Zoe and Daniel's story starts with tragedy and continues with many twists and turns. I love vampire stories but Daniel in this book was a jerk, basically ordering Zoe around and demanding this and that because he wanted to "protect" her. Don't give up on the jerk tho. It gets soooo much better later on.
Zoe is great at her job. While she is a strong hero, she is also such a damsel in distress sometimes that she drove me crazy! She does some dangerous thing; she plans and researches her heist(s), she is able to have plan A, B, and C....etc. Yet, she ends up in a situation where she is blamed for the screw-up. She too blames herself and accepts the situation as a personal failure.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series and as Lexi Blake gives us more and more of the world she created, she also gives us more passion, love, and the hurdles Zoe goes through to be happy. Worth my credits but I'm thrilled it is on Audible Escape.

W00t!

This is that rare series that I've reread several times because it's just that good. I didn't see how the audiobook could live up to it. But Kitty Bang!!! Damn girl. You do Zoey proud!!! I'm so excited to hear the rest of them. Hurry! Can't wait to have the full set on audio as well as Kindle!!!

Side Note - You literally can't go wrong with a Lexi Blake book, and this series has it all. Enjoy!!!

A few issues I hope will be cleared up in book 2.

I hate this love triangle. We need a change. Another is what is all this allowing your love to be left alone so long. No explanation. No real reason. Then look who's back and not giving a choice to follow you around. No real respect nor belief in her strength. He might say he loves her, but show me the proof. Tell us how and why this is true when we barely see anything. I need more, but Dev isn't perfect either. Controling and manipulative. Grrrrrr... It is great narration, but I hope book 2 has real change to come.

It's has everything

Action, intrigue, and romance! The narrator was great except for when she did the voice of the Italian vamp but other than I enjoyed. Will be reading the next one.

Puny Human

This woman who is just surrounded by the supernatural but constantly holding her own. no matter how many times I read/listen to this story, it never gets old.

Entertaining

Paranormal is not a genre that I am drawn to but since this is by Lexi Blake I decided to give it a chance. Stealing The Light is different to anything I have read by Ms. Blake and yet at the heart of it, it is the same. I know I am not making sense.
The core elements of what I have found with this authors books were all there, just had the addition of Vampires, Werewolves and other supernatural creatures. The story drew me in and I found myself hooked on as I listened to this audiobook.
The narrator Kitty Bang is new to me. She did a good job but I felt that a male narrator would have had more impact for the male characters, but then that is just my opinion. It didn’t stop me from enjoying the performance I just think it would have enhanced my listening pleasure if both a female and male narrated.

I own this series and have read it before but I wanted to read it again. Since I drive a lot i decided to try the audible version and it did not disappoint. Kitty Bang is great! and as usual Lexi Blake is a author goddess. I will read and reread anything she writes especially fantasy.

Loved it! Very entertaining!

Really enjoyed the story. Listened to the entire book in one day while sewing and folding clothes!

This series is the best!

Kitty Bang and Lexi Blake OmG. I don’t think there is a better reader for this epic series. She’s got voices! He said she said is not necessary. It’s like watching a movie.
Zoey and Danny are a couple. No doubt soul mates with so much history and so in love. Danny dies and wakes up as a vampire. He’s taken away by a counsel to train. He learns things Zoey is clueless about, mainly about Zoey, herself, she is unaware she a companion which means she is not safe among vampires. Danny does his best to hide her. Communication between the two sucks. Although Zoey loves Danny unconditionally she gets tired of Danny shame of being a monster and not letting her in so she decides to kind of move on and start dating. Hopefully she would wake Danny up. Q now Dev. A farie, gorgeous, smart, and very rich.
That’s all I will say. You might get angry when Zoey dates Dev because you will be in love with Danny. But don’t worry, it’s all good in the second book. It is an Epic Series. There are great characters including the really bad guys. And all the variety of creatures, witches, fairies, 👍, all the traveling to different universes, including heaven and hell.,. Listen to this Steal the Light you won’t be disappointed.
Then listen to the rest. It’s is fantastic.
