With a style built on sharp, quickly-established moods brought to life by taut, punchy dialogue, Suspense produced-directors William Spier, Anton M. Leader, and Elliot Lewis brought top-name Hollywood talent to the microphone each week.

Horror stars, action heroes, matinee idols, leading ladies - Suspense offered them all a showcase that expanded and emphasized their distinctive talents. Peter Lorre and Edward G. Robinson were particular favorites and appear here in tortured, desperate roles and never failing to wring every bit of tension from the scripts in their hands. Popular comedians - like Bob Hope and Milton Berle - were also regularly featured. Cast hard against type, the audience was forced to view them in an entirely different light...and were left gasping in their wake.

This startling set of 20 digitally restored and remastered episodes features performances by Gregory Peck, Joan Crawford, Bela Lugosi, Ozzie and Harriet Nelson, Jim and Marian Jordan, Charles Laughton, Anne Baxter, and more. Also includes the previously lost episode of "The Burning Court" starring Clifton Webb.

A mixed bag

First stories were great - classic suspense stories with a twist at the end. The last three or four were more like radio dramas - not so great,

loved it took me back

this took me back as a child. laying in bed with the radio on. waiting for mom to tell me to turn it off and go to sleep. loved it
