Yes I would. This was a great story of 4 very different woman. I couldn't stop listening to this story.

I loved the relationships between the 4 friends, they all have interesting stories to follow

She was great to listen to! I have never listened to a book narrated by her but I will search her out now.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes and I even had a tear or 2 over it, I don't want to spoil it by saying anymore

This is a fantastic book! I listened to Ernessa Carters first book 32 candles and that was fabulous! Some of the characters from 32 candles show up in this book! I love it when authors do this!

A wonderful read. A book I recommend .

This is the story of every girls journey in one way or another. When I started I almost sent it back because I didn't like the "sista girl' tone of the book but I am glad I stayed. While listening I could relate to each one of these ladies as they made their way through this crazy thing called life. I really liked how it is the an how to guide by Davie Farrow but inside the Awesome Girl Guide lays something so much better than a self help book. Its about forgiveness, friendship, fun and also falling in love. When I finished I immediately logged into audible to find out if is a next chapter for these awe inspiring ladies. I didn't see much but maybe in the future. Even if there is no sequel these ladies story will stay with me and continue to inspire.

Once again, Ernessa Carter has spun what seemed to be a "how to get a man guide" to an insightful, bold tale of relationships: girlfriends, daddy/momma/daughter, men, self. At first listen, I was tempted to confuse this book with the shallow urban black literature (all Black lit ain't created equal)-young women struggling with careers while tryna' look good and bandage all the bad feelings with a man, any man, wondering why "a good black man is hard to find" ignoring the lowest common denominator (namely, she!), but I degress... This is NOT that story. Ernessa Carter digs into the complexities of relationship dynamics (across the board) in an honest and clever way leaving us once again with the awesome charge of being authentically and wonderfully ourselves. She invites us to risk, share, love and learn in our journey to become our better selves and along the way, there's a chuckle but mostly an "ahhh haa".

Well done my dear sister, I look forward to more of your tales SOON!

Love this author...

I'm in love with Ernessa as an author. She made me LOL in 32 Candles and literally cry, laugh and shake my head in this choice. You will love her writing if you want to be entertained and touched by a message all at once. I forced myself to stretch this book out over 3 days because Amazon credit prices are sky high lol. But I would have finished in one day's sitting, easily.
