One of the best books in a while!
Ok, it will start off very slow but once you get to chapter 10, the story will get better and better and better! This has become one of my new favorites!

Charming and beautifully written
A very creative story filled with interesting and quirky characters. Lots of delightful twists and surprises throughout the book. The voice actor really brought the story to life!

I thoroughly enjoyed it!
In depth details up front are worth the set up. Some things you see coming but are still delightful to hear. You find yourself cheering for her and sharing in her delight of the beauty in simple things. The narrator did a wonderful performance. I would look for more books read specifically by her.

Unexpected story
I have only limited myself to Anne of Green Gables. This story is so different. The narrator did a great job giving life to this wonderful story of a life changed. I kept wondering what was coming next.

Good narrating, fun story
This was so delightful! The story line was a little predictable, but I absolutely reveled in Valanecy’s transformation. Sometimes I want a story with beautiful descriptions, sassy characters, and a happy ending, even if I know it’s coming. Valency wasn’t classically beautiful or clever, or even angelically good, but became brave and good and even beautiful by doing what was right (not conventional). Enjoyed the narrator’s voice, also. Fit the heroines age in sound, but also great voice actor.

❤️ Story!!!
Wonderful and light hearted Victorian romance!!! Always have loved this book!!! The reader was really good with all the characters in this book. Not an easy feat with L.M. Montgomery books as there are sooo many. I'd love to hear the reader read the author's book "Tangled Web".

Where has this book been my whole life? It is funny, charming, and clever. Such a funny and heartwarming story. If your heart is in Green Gables and Avonlea, you will find it also has a room in the Blue Castle.
