Because of its emphasis on "the Love of God" and Jesus' being the incarnation of that Love, many believe this gospel is the most important for new and old Christians alike to take to heart. Written by the "disciple whom Jesus loved", the book of John is organized around seven miracles, seven discourses and seven "I AM" statements. This study is so deep "an elephant can bathe in it, and yet an infant can wade in it."

Very Useful

I liked this for the detail and exact contrast to the other three gospel accounts. As always, there are some rabbit holes, and a lot of cud to chew.

I must recommend this to anyone who is willing to lay aside prejudices and take time to think. Christians will be edified. Unbelievers will be encouraged, for the hope that is clearly laid out in I Corinthians 15:1-4.

Take heed, and beware! A full 1/3rd of John’s account covers just a single week, from the 10th to the 16th of Nisan, from Christ’s Triumphal entry until his resurrection. There is more to be told than the world can contain, but even a child will be well nourished!

Good commentary, too much lip smacking

The commentary is very good, but the constant lipsmacking. is very distracting. The editors should edit those out.

The Insights and Revelations in this commentary are so profound! The best commentary on this book that is out there!

Not as entertaining as his others, plus too quiet.

I usually enjoy listening to Chuck Missler’s audiobooks, but this one was lacking. You could tell he was just sitting alone recording vs. teaching a class, he is much more animated and fun to listen to when he is in front of people. This was also recorded quietly, I have my phone volume all the way up and is hard to hear sometimes.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book

Chuck Missler brings things to the surface I would normally miss. I’ve followed his commentaries through most of my bible making notes and flipping through from all other books he references making notes on those as well. I have notes in the margins along with dates when led to those pages. Four years later and still continuing to follow Chuck Missler through my Bible book by book. Thanks to Mr Missler I’ve continued to advance my learning and desire for more every day. Highly recommended any of his books.

Deep commentary and explanations

A wonder supplement and compliment to the book of John. Missler’s knowledge is vast and helpful.

Remarkable Analysis of Powerful Gospel of John!

Grab your coffee. Strap on your seatbelt. This commentary of John is something you will not be able to listen to without your complete, undivided attention. The book of John, like all precious books of the Bible, is a timeless masterpiece in and of itself. But through Chuck’s 60+ years of studying the Bible and expert teaching, it’s like attempting to skydive, but you end up blasting through the stratosphere like a rocket ship!! That’s how much Missler opens your mind to just how powerful and deep the book of John really is! His attention to details in knowing the scriptures inside out, left and right, up and down is unparalleled compared to other Bible scholars. This is now the 9th commentary I’ve completed from Dr. Missler and each one continues to be unique, fresh and much different from the next study. Again, I cannot stress enough that you WILL NOT be able to listen to this analysis in a noisy place or somewhere you’re easily distracted. This commentary demands your full attention. I’m so thankful to God for helping me discover Chuck!! Over my entire life, I never read my Bible, but those days are long gone. Other than eating, sleeping, going to work or spending time with my family, reading my Bible is all I really do! Once you become a serious student of the word of God, you’ll quickly learn the fleshly desires of this world are FAR LESS important than the spiritual needs of God. God bless you!

Great expositional study

I’ve been following Dr Missler’s series of Bible expositions and have been blessed through them. However for this particular book, there are a few sessions where he spent a good 15-30mins doing an expositional study of an entire chapter from another book (like Luke and Romans). I wish he only stuck with John.
