The “fire”, the trauma that can ravage anyone in the most intimate way. It broke, my body, my soul and everything that stands in between. But I believe that sharing this vulnerable, delicate story can help create a dialogue. This book is for my sisters, my brothers all over the world, for those who know the suffering of assault, and to anybody either moving through the pain or working on their relationship issues. "The Burning Village From Within" nourishes important thoughts and reflections regarding our relationship with our body, consent and healing. These poems now have their own identities, communicating a message that is at times harsh, but always rooted in purpose and hope.
