I binged the whole thing in one go when I noticed it was released

I was waiting for it to come out after the first book and is a great continuation of the first and adds future conflicts to occur.

Love the series

Just a little too short, that being said this series doesn’t take itself to seriously.

An excellent continuation of the series.

This book while a little shorter than I would like it had all the best parts of the previous book while also improving on the slightly jaring pov transitions of the previous book.

basic setup good too listen to when there is nothing else. needs to get on reduce price program not good enough for full price.

like the overall style the story is told wish the audio for the next book would release soon

Great continuation, audible brings it to life

The voice acting was fantastic and really brings the story to life. Looking forward to the other books on audible!

took a little while to get used to his voice, but thats for all audio books. otherwise a great listen!

The MC wasn't OP enough

The story idea is typical of LitRPG stories with "a system imposed upon Earth and the MC winds up being overpowered". As the story progress it appears the author didn't think his MC was OP enough. I liked how in the first book the MC still had to figure things out to get around a few of the challenges put before him. It appears that the next book this won't be happening.

Neil Hellegers does a magnificent job. However, some of the wording used by the author makes me wonder how he passed high school English. For example, the author uses "on accident" and "on instinct" (which is used by 6 year olds) instead of "accidentally" and "instinctively"/"instinctually". But, the most annoying example is the (over)use of the adverb "also" in place of using transitional words/phrases or a conjunction. But then again this is a common problem with many newer authors, especially in the genre. Another issue can't be blamed as much on writing skills as U.S. politicians and news casters reinforce this poor English skill with the use of more, i.e. saying "more proud", "more clear" or using more with any word which should have the suffix "-er" affixed as in "prouder", "clear", etc. Of course, these should also be caught by the editor, Just ask Wil Wheaton as he is repeatedly commenting about his editor pointing out the overuse of a certain word in his book "Still Just a Geek".

Will stop series here

Has the same issues as the first book. Feels like a mishmash of several other litrpg series with little tension that any important MC will die or not succeed. Not horrible but probably below average for genre.
