This book was written in Latin by Augustine of Hippo (354 - 430) to discuss the Trinity in relation to God the Word (logos). Even though it is not as well known as some of his other writings, it is considered by many to be his masterpiece and of more doctrinal importance than either the Confessions or the City of God. St. Augustine is considered a saint in the Catholic Churches, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Anglican Communion. He is ranked among the doctors of the Church in the Roman Catholic Church.

An astonishing intellect and spirit filled guide is St. Augustine, and the narrative reader was superb. I've had weeks of daily listening pleasure, enthralled and elevated. I repeat that experience again, after a short period of digestion. Simply beautiful.

Wow. Augustine was a smart, smart man. To my follow Christians - read this, and be tutored (and I say this as a Southern Baptist.). Amazing Treatise!
Considering the clarity of thought in this book (actually it was originally 22 books), it is rather surprising to me that it was written in the 5th century. This was unquestionably a great labor of love on St Augustine's part.
David McCallion did a superb job reading the text of this very lengthy audiobook. He deserves commendation for his excellent performance!

A treatise worthy of your time.
St. Augustin is anything if not thorough. He tells the biblical story from start to finish. I am left wanting nothing. He covers it all.
