Fun Novel!

I listened to this on audible at the recommendation of a friend - we were discussing favorite recent books. I am so glad she recommended it! The characters are fun and their interactions are believable and fit well into the story. It is a solid mystery novel, but remains light and avoids being overly grotesque. The narrator has a nice British accent and really helps you feel like you are with Jodie in Cornwall. The narrator also avoids overacting character voices, which can be irritating in other audio books. I am looking forward to hearing about the adventures of these characters again in the rest of the series!

Very good cozy mystery

It’s so hard to find cozy mysteries that are not “overwritten” or try too hard. This was perfect, as was the narrator.

Excellent new cozy series

Both the author and narrator are new to me, but they made a terrific combination. The story was well-paced and interesting on the whole; the only thing that bothered me was when the main character went off on her own to the denouement: any former police officer would understand the importance of not going into a situation alone.

I immediately fell in love with the characters and Cornwall. Can’t wait to read the whole series!

What a nice cozy! New author for me and the characters are well developed and the mystery solution was well hidden to nearly the end. Like the idea of the recipe. Highly recommend.

A witty, cozy murder mystery

Loved this first installment to this series! The wit, community life & friendships, description of Cornwall all lend to a very entertaining story. The pace & twists with re to the murder itself were also interesting & entertaining. Great story overall!
