Christians often know the theory of the spirit-filled life, but not the joy-filled experience.
Pastor and theologian A. W. Tozer said that Christians often know nothing personally about the inner fire of a spirit-filled life. This timely voice provides a timeless glimpse into spiritual maturity and growth. The "deeper life" is deeper only because the average Christian life is tragically and unnecessarily shallow. Considered a mighty man of God by most Evangelicals today, he was unconventional in his approach to spirituality and had no qualms about consulting everyone from Catholic saints to German Protestant mystics for inspiration on how to experience God more fully.
