Author + Narrators = Perfection

The book was so good, I listened to it all in one go, I didn’t want to take a break!

The Author and Narrators is one of the best combinations. This book was spectacular, and thanks to the excellent narration I am going to miss these characters now that the book is done, they felt like my friends!

Perfection

A fun story of two unlikely people beating the odds. Full of funny banter and a little bit of heart ache. This slow burn has it all. From the beginning to the end you will be sucked in.

This book is my favorite of L.J. Shen’s! Characters definitely felt like the real deal and didn’t sugar coat emotions or feel too lovey dovey! Great narrations by both Ava Erickson and Sebastian York!

Great story. Fantastic Audio!

Enemies to lovers... I love it! The best part of this troupe is the banter. I loved the way that Chase and Maddie went at each other. I love the strength in Maddie and the full on rejection she throws down. She has so much growth throughout the book and that is probably my favorite heroine to read. She was already a beautiful person, but found her voice and strength. Chase was an alpha jerk, but in the way you want to roll your eyes at them and still pull them close. I really enjoyed this story a lot. It was different in some ways from a typical LJ Shen book, but that’s not a bad thing. To me not as dark as some of her others. It was a really great story. Great depth for the side characters.

The Audio is fantastic. I would read my Kindle version between listens, and would go back to listen to the audio because I didn’t want to miss any of it. Sebastian York is my favorite when he is a Chase type character! He is so good as the alpha, confident, cocky, sarcastic, jerk. His timing is so spot on and has a great comedic element to his work. Ava Erickson is super believable as Madison. I felt so in the moment when it was her chapters, not at all like being read to. It felt like she was telling what she was living. Great Audio!!

Love Makes You Weak

After reading some of the reviews here I almost passed on this book. That would have been a big mistake because I loved it. I loved it because it was real. Those who do not understand why the female protagonist was such a “doormat” to the jerk male protagonist are those who have never loved someone more than they were loved back. Love makes you do stupid things and I’ve been there. I yelled at Maddie for some of the things she was doing and allowing because I’ve been there. Things that you think you would never allow, you allow for that one person much to your chagrin and that’s why I was glued to this story. It was incredibly relatable and real. I laughed, I gasped, and I even shed a little tear. I was putty in L.J. Shen’s hands.

Was not disappointed

Another winner from LJ Shen. I have laughed cried and lost a night of sleep I couldn't put it down. The story of Maddie and Chase was a story of two individual heal their broken hearts together. Chase fear of falling in love and being hurt and Maddie dealing with the loss of her mother. You the loss of someone who has been with you since conception is something that stays with you daily. I was pleased that when they open their heart to each other they heal and learn to trust, Maddie had a better start through the letters her mom wrote her which was so touching and something I plan to start for my children. Thank you

Entertaining on all fronts

Enjoyed this one very much! Many LOL moments. Characters were well developed. Story was fun & sweet.
