Meh
This is the first chapter in a serialized bigger book. The audio is roughly 30 minutes and really doesn't have much of a story. It's written well and engaging but is really only like the first few chapters of a much larger book. If the audiobook wasn't free for my review, I would never waste money or a credit on it as it's not a complete story. Maybe if they release it as a boxset or "complete", I'd recommend getting it but not one tiny bite sized piece at a time. There wasn't much that was memorable about this part of the story, so I wouldn't recommend the audiobook. Maybe it will get better but is it worth wasting your credits to find out?

Great Start
This is a great start to this series, I believe there are five more stories to go in this series, which I really look forward to reading/listening to, so come aboard the Terry M. West train, ..The narrating done by the team of Bryan & Sonya Anderson is well done. I received this audiobookk for free and this
is my voluntary unbiased review.

Interesting characters/world, piqued my interest!
The Eater (Gate 4: A Serial Novel, Book 1) by Terry M. West and narrated by Bryan Anderson & Sonya Anderson is a short listen that piqued my interest enough that I would like to check out the next book. The narrators did a good job and I’d listen to them again. Not sure what I can say about it without giving too much away- if you like supes, mystery, and short stories, give this one a try.

Meh...
Not my thing.
Narration was horrible.
Perhaps I would have enjoyed the story more if the narrators were better. The narration was lifeless. The male narrator had a habit of placing the emphasis on odd parts/words within the sentence making the flow painful and annoying. One sentence he placed emphasis on the second word then the next sentence it was on the fourth word, etc, etc...and none of it made sense or followed a pattern/reason of any sort. The female narrator was monotone most of the time and sounded like she was reading rather than speaking naturally.
The narration is KEY for an audiobook...good narrators can made a bad story better and bad narrators can make a great story bad.
