OK, so this book was creepy, twisty and turny and hard to put down! I love a good thriller and THE FORGOTTEN GIRLS had all elements that make for a great read...a great mystery, compelling characters that have mysteries of their own, a story that is perfectly plotted and unpredictable and just enough creepy to keep me uneasy the whole time! What a GREAT book and one I recommend highly to lovers of great thriller/mystery mixes!!! 4.5 stars

The way names are pronounced

This is a good story but it is really irritating that names of people and places are pronounced completely wrong. When doing an English translation the narrator should be instructed in how to pronounce the names. It is so bad that it becomes a distraction when listening

Great read

The chapters are off by one which is annoying but 10/10 recommend the fiction!

A really good listen but heartrending content which I would imagine has more reality than fiction with respect to past abused of the mentally individuals who have no protection against heartless caregivers.

Bad Casting/Direction

The narrator is a good enough performer, but she was the wrong choice for this book. Accents from the American South and Midwest were distracting in a book set in Denmark.

Great read

I really liked the book, it wasn't as suspenseful as I was hoping, but was a different storyline, which I liked a lot. A must read!

Weird accents!

This is a translated book from Danish, so Im confused why the narrator thought Irish and American Southern accents was a good idea. The narrator who does Harry Potter managed to make many characters sound distinctive without giving them accents in another language.

Oh so good!!!

What a great story with unexpected twists that I absolutely could not have predicted. Hoping there’s a follow up to this because I did feel like some details could use some closure, but if not, we can’t always have it tied up in a neat box and it was still a great story. Suspenseful but didn’t leave it on the cliffhanger for too long to lose interest. The author really captured the eccentric nature of humans with the character complexities. I don’t usually listen to a book more than once but this one I might so I can really capture the characters more.

The narrator was incredible & adjusted voice from time to time for different in such a fluid way that it didn’t even sound like the same person but didn’t sound choppy either.

Good book has a lot of detail to it, would definitely recommend this to other people. I really liked it

Terrible reader

Although the story is set in Denmark, tHe narrator uses accents from around the world- American, Irish, Minnesota, even the Bronx! Super distracting and irritating. Get a new reader!
