I'm pretty sure this is the first R.L. Mathewson Neighbor from Hell story that's made me cry...and that automatically puts it at the top of my favorites list. I love it when I get that emotionally involved with a story.

This story features, Danny Bradford, an ex-Marine who should've died. As a result, his family is a *bit* overprotective of him. But he's still a Bradford which means he's annoying as anything to his neighbor, Jodi.

Jodi is a librarian. She is not a rock-the-boat kind of girl, but Danny is driving her nuts. She wants out of her lease before she kills him. The problem is that the last guy she was involved with left her less than broke, so when her landlord (another Bradford) offers to cut her rent to get her to stay, she caves. She really needs that extra money.

While Danny is a Bradford which means his weakness is food (seriously, the aftermath of the buffet scene at Disney had me rolling on the floor), Jodi has an issue with medicine. She reacts really badly to it...which means she gets punch drunk and completely out of control. So, just because it's fun...Jodi ends up in several circumstances throughout the book where she has to be drugged and hilarity ensues. I love how Danny is the only one brave enough to take her on when she's been given medicine...even her best friend cowers when that happens.

Once again, this book was exactly what I've come to expect from this series....I love it, but this story had an extra layer of emotion thrown in at the end that just about killed me. Whoa...I seriously did NOT see that coming, but it made the story just that much better.

And once again, I cannot say enough good about Fran Jules narration. I tried to read a little bit of the next book rather than listen. It's just not the same. She owns these voices and her interpretation of the story is above and beyond good. I adore her narration and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the audiobook version of these books.

Absolutely Delightful!

I was looking for a book that I would enjoy, since the previous 3 or 4 I had to return because they were so bad. This is not my typical genre of book, and I bought this quite by accident thinking it was my regular genre (that's what happens when you're in a hurry and also use your phone to purchase a book). I decided to give it a listen anyway. I couldn't stop listening, and finished it in a day. There's nothing heady about this book. It's just a sweet, funny and otherwise emotional story about love that will leave you sighing and smiling.

I love the Bradford Men

The story is great, however... Marine Corps research would have been nice... from a Former Marine

Fun romance. Does have a serious tone at times but is explained by the end of the story.

The narrator does a really great job with the different characters.

Loved this book

I really enjoyed this book, it was such fun. The narration , by Fran Jules was great. It really added to the story for me. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Good story, but didn't always flow...

As with this entire family series, I really enjoyed the book, but I found that this one seemed to have gaps in the storyline. I won't mention any spoilers, but I will say that there were several times that I felt pieces of information were left out. Not enough to derail the storyline, but enough that I went back and replayed it, to see if I had just missed something. While I know it's common to reference past events, and slowly build to the reveal, this felt more like little details put in to enhance the story, then forgotten about. Most people probably wouldn't notice, but I'm a details person, so despite a good ending, it left me feeling that there were several things unresolved or unexplained, and just felt unfinished.

Cute story. Worth the credit. Not overly cheesy. Kept me interested with out over working my brain.

Great story!

This is my first R.L. Mathewson and it did not disappoint. I was laughing though the entire thing at Danny’s (and his family’s) antics. It was slightly irritating at how often “Tink” found herself on painkillers, by the third time I was thinking “Ok, that’s enough now.” All things considered, I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait the listen to the others!

Charming

Charming and so funny. Love those Bradford men, the hungry bastards! Looking forward to the next installment.

Storyline is awesome

I love the Bradford brothers! Their story is funny and sexy. The narrator does an awesome job and makes the characters come alive.
