Kincaid is a tender man who takes care of the dazed and terrified Meg who falls deeply and inescapably in love with him. But she knows it will ruin everything if she is open with him. She says she’s a common wench and Kincaid laughs, but he knows better. She has the smooth hands of a lady.

Captain Scarlet has a few secrets of his own to hide. When enemies hell-bent on killing them both trap them, the highwayman and the lady must do everything they can to save themselves and their dreams—or risk losing their very lives.
