Expert narrator!
Yes the story flips mid way, but I still really enjoyed it. The book was great, but the narrator! WOW! She was excellent. She embodied the mood of the story in expert fashion. I will definitely be searching for her in other books.

Hoffman is consistently an excellent storyteller.
The way she wove together her mother’s history, the Scarlet Letter and her journey to a life free of judgment. How blessed she was to find two angels to help her to freedom.

First half was perfect
The first half was a great read hooked me right in. Parts 2 was a major disappointment. At one point I thought it would shift back to match part one, it did not.
I am torn on whether I should recommend this to others.
