I didn’t know I would enjoy this book so much
Hearing the stories of how these women came to America was heart-wrenching. I have avoided this book for many years because I didn’t want to read about how strange and backwards Chinese immigrant mothers were to their Americanized children. It wasn’t that at all, it was deeply respectful stories of lives I have never known but have needed to know about and understand.

Generation Appreciation
Wonderful story about mothers and daughters. Misunderstandings occur when one assumes and conversations don’t take place. Nice to see the back stories revealed in this story and healing prevail.
