Resumen del Editor

A DEAD WOMAN IS FOUND FLOATING IN A POOL.

Defense attorney Mitch Turner’s newest client, Gilbert Claybourne, is the nicest guy, at least according to everybody Gilbert works with. They all assure Mitch that Gilbert is innocent and that there is no way Gilbert could’ve murdered his fellow employee, Sheena Tillman. But Mitch has his reservations, and his concerns only grow the further he gets into his investigation. It’s apparent from their first meeting that Gilbert has a connection to Sheena that he’s anxious to keep hidden.

TOO MANY SECRETS.

The more Mitch learns about Gilbert Claybourne, Sheena Tillman, and everybody working with the two of them, the more convinced Mitch becomes that everyone is harboring a secret. Some of what’s hidden seems relevant. Some not. The deeper he digs, and the more he uncovers, it becomes difficult to say what’s true. And it doesn’t help that the victim left a trail of enemies in her wake.

CAN MITCH LEARN THE TRUTH BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE?

Mitch pushes forward to the trial without a clear picture of what happened, ever doubtful of his seemingly innocent client while looking into everything he can, hoping to discover the truth before the jury renders their verdict. The trial is an uphill climb because the deck is stacked against him, and even the judge seems to be rooting for the prosecution.

Can Mitch discover the truth in time to see that justice is served? Before his client is sent away for a crime he might not have committed?
