Felt repetitive at times and a little bit like a brag session for the author.

Lifestyle investor is life changing!

This book is a game changer. As an experienced real estate investor I thought I knew a lot about creating financial freedom through passive investing.

This book changed my perspective - I realized that I can achieve financial freedom sooner than I had ever imagined by focusing on investments that provide cash flow. I had always focused on equity plays that pay out in 5 years.

I loved the interviews between each chapter. It really helped pull it all together.

Life-changing approach to investing for all levels

As someone new to the investment world, I had been looking for an organized framework to shape my investment strategy (and time management) around. I found all this and more in Justin's book! Stop letting someone else handle or advise you on money matters until you finish this book

Just so much philosophic and practical wisdom articulated around financial matters that does not get discussed elsewhere. I want my kids, my family, and my clients to read and learn from this book and now after going through it a third time, I’m sending this to a bunch of folks in my world. Enjoy!

Great focus on the fundamentals

Opened my eyes to new ways of thinking about investing that I had not considered before.

Strong insights, weak on nuance

Without a relationship with the author, it is often difficult to fully understand their motivations and convictions for what they say and write. My takeaway from Justin Donald is that he appears to have genuine care for others. He does not merely have a service to provide or a product to sell, albeit those are available.

His audiobook is worth a listen because his entrepreneurial story is unique. While perhaps unpopular, I think his perspective on traditional investing is especially insightful (401k, stocks, mutual funds, etc). There are several points at which his claims are broad and sweeping (e.g. all of type X of investing is a ripoff) and it lacks a deeper, more nuanced discussion. But that is more likely a limitation of the medium and one that the author could very well have via an in-person conversation.

The multiple pitches for the his courses, masterminds, and coaching is to be expected since that is the substance of his “lifestyle investing” business.

Finally, I will be adding his book to my shelf if for no other reason, to consider how his story and counsel should inform the broader discussion of wealth, stewardship, entrepreneurship, and business. I may not always agree with Justin, but his voice is worth having in the dialogue.
