Beach read enjoyment

Light and bright, even the darkest moments barely rippled the upbeat mood. While I could certainly relate to many of emotional aspects of Sophie’s journey, they felt trivialized in the hands of this writer.

The Magnificent Mrs. Mayhew is one of this authors best books. Colleen Prendergast is great. I loved this book.

Delightful

A light read that comes to a predictable end but is delightful to reach - a real feel good story about being brave and reaching for your dreams .

A great read

This was such a fun read. Loved listening to it and could not edit to see how it all ends.

Captivating

This is the kind of book you think about when you’re not reading it. It makes me long for those lovely Yorkshire villages and people. While the story can be a bit predictable, the way it comes together is absolutely delightful. You can’t help but cheer Sophie on and hope she finds the bravery she’d almost forgotten. I wish there was more!

I enjoyed this audio book

The antagonists were a bit “one note” and a little too easy to hate, and the story was predictable, but I really did like it in spite of these shortcomings. I’m also a sucker for British narration. I was looking for something light and entertaining, and this did not disappoint.

An absolute truimph! Probably her best book yet.

Loved it. Narrative was fantastic. A real feel good book. Unique story line. Highly recommend.

Yea, Sophie!

Loved this easy story about Sophie figuring herself out! I was looking for something to just enjoy and not have to think too much about, and this was it…it went by quickly, reader was great, and it ended the right way. Good way to start the summer!
