Jarred, Eric, and Vikki are three curious kids living on a quiet street—until one day, a mysterious neighbor moves into the old, creaky house next door. The kids are convinced their new neighbor, Old Man Mike, might be a real-life monster! Determined to solve the mystery, the trio embarks on a spooky, exciting adventure full of surprises.
Armed with courage and curiosity, they sneak over to the house and find themselves caught in a world of strange noises, creaking doors, and shadowy figures. But as they explore deeper, they discover that things aren’t always what they seem. With a little help from Mrs. Nicole, the quirky neighbor who always wears a witch’s hat, and Jarred’s clever black cat, Mr. Whiskers, the kids learn that Old Man Mike is no monster at all—just a friendly, misunderstood old man with a love for gardening and storytelling.

A Fun and Spooky Adventure!
The Monster Next Door is a perfect Halloween tale for young listeners. Mike Robb does a fantastic job creating suspense and fun with Jarred, Eric, and Vikki, who are convinced their mysterious new neighbor is a real monster. The story is lighthearted yet filled with enough spooky moments to keep listeners on their toes!
Reba Lawless Berdakin’s narration brings the characters to life, adding just the right amount of mystery and excitement. Her engaging voice makes the story even more enjoyable, especially during the creepier moments.
If you're looking for a fun, spooky adventure for the Halloween season, this is a great pick for kids and adults alike!
