Enthralling Story
This is an enthralling story. I was 14 when the voyager flew around the world. I remember the event, but I never knew how many challenges they had to overcome on the ground and in the air. The narrator is excellent too.

Keeps One in Suspense! Quite a ride.
Listening to this book, I can see why some consider him the 'Indiana Jones of Aviation.' I've heard Dick speak a few times, but this audiobook shares so many details of his adventures that I just never knew. He does not hold back and tells it all--the good, the bad and the embarrassing. He's funny. While others shield their mistakes from the public, Dick puts himself out there. The audiobook is so exciting that I had difficulty going to sleep after one particular segment. Whew! I felt like I was there with him. The narrator sounds a bit like Dick, so I kept forgetting it wasn't the author speaking. While one doesn't have to be a pilot to enjoy all of these wild adventures, it's definitely a must listen (or read) for pilots.
I LISTEN TO 2 TO 3 BOOKS A WEEK AND TRULY DID NOT EXPECT TO LIKE THIS BOOK AS MUCH AS I DID!

From a Voyager Volunteer
A one if many of the Voyager Volunteers I can say this book was wonderful. I can say that you will enjoy the stories that yiu have never heard as I did and know as I do that the parts I had first hand knowledge of are 100% accurate. From the account hallucinations over Africa to the Voyager being tossed on its side. This book and its telling tale brought me back to that period and gave me an even bigger picture of what was going through Dick's mind. The other adventures that I never knew about were just amazing and further cemented my admiration for Dick , Jeana, Burt, Mike , Sally and all of the rest of the team. If you fly or love aviation you have to have this stories in your collection. Blue skies and tale winds Darin Scines.
