Excellent

I will say the same thing that nearly all the other reviews say...This book is truly excellent. If you are a fan of Sapphic books that have princesses, tyrants, warriors, and a dystopian-like world, you will give this book five stars, as I did.

So so so good!

Absolutely incredible book. No notes. I loved every minute of it. Narrator did a great job. I cannot wait to see what this author releases next!!!

Captivating

It started off a tad bit slow but was worth the wait. My heart strings were in such a clutch for a good portion of the book. I love the unexpectedness about it. You really grow a fondness of the characters and the ending is a nice supise.

Sooo good

Worth every minute, don’t think about it just listen. It’s a slow burn but worth it.

Pleasant Surprise

Went into the book not really expecting much. Was pleasantly surprised to find a well written story with lovable characters. This book had me grinning quite often. Will definitely be listening to it again in the future.

That was a worth-it marathon

TJ’s vivid descriptions of this broken, civil war ridden, chaotic world is amazing. This is not like other audiobooks I have that I can just play in the background whilst doing chores or work. I often had to rewind and listen again or pause and pull out my kindle to follow along. It’s admittedly, long so it was a bit frustrating to have to stop what I’m doing to make sense of what is going on for several days. However, it was 100% worth it. The language, details, the individual stories, the romance are incredible.

The narrator was pretty good. Most of the characters had their individual voices and presence. She slips/ mixes up voices which isn’t abnormal for narrators, but I will say it happens a lot more than what I’m used to.

I would recommend waiting until vacation/holiday to listen to this story. Missing out on even a few seconds of detail equals to missing crucial information.

Harbinger of things to come

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. However, I also wonder if this is what the United States is looking forward to. The outcome would certainly be welcome. I just hope we don’t have to go through the beginning. Thank you for this story.

So worth the listen!

This is now one of my top 10 favorites books! It’s perfect for a long road trip. It is slow burn love story with a happy ending. The love between the MC build through out the story and you can personally feel it grow. It has action, adventure, great supporting characters and love. Not just romantic love but love one has with chosen family and friends.

Outstanding story and narration

I listened to The Order on a road trip. I was hoping for a story to get me from point A to Z. This story had me sitting in my car at gas stations and not taking my headphones out when I went inside a store to use the bathroom or buy a snack! Half way through I was hoping for a setup to a part 2!
Great story with great narration.

Rule Breakers Hold A Special Place In My Heart!

I especially like those who APPEAR to be following the rules, but who are actually thwarting them in a wanton and willing way! You know- the sneaky ones! This is a sci-fi, end of civilization, world re-building, sapphic romance and grand adventure at its best! Yes, there’s quite a build-up in the angsty romance department but there’s so much going on that it’s like a wonderful dessert after a great meal. Luckily, dessert is always on the menu after that and there’s a wonderful wrap-up in the HEA.

This is not a straightforward story. It’s filled with rebel secrets and mysterious relationships with plenty of twists and turns. It takes a minute to get on the big adventure train and then you fall into the story seamlessly, but you may want to listen to certain parts more than once to fully appreciate the plot. Worth it! The narration is beyond outstanding and likely award -winning! Despite there being a large number of characters, we do get to know them and appreciate what they bring to the story. Admittedly, I love romance but the nerdy geek in me is feeling pretty satisfied too! This book is like an ice cream sundae- you get the good stuff with some incredibly well-written toppings! Highly recommend!
