Loved it!

Not what I expected! I thought this story would be depressing and the main character full of bad luck! But it was very touching and laugh out loud funny! Very interesting and entertaining.

Celia, the title character, embraces the reader from the start, welcoming you as a friend and trusted confidante, as she morphs through a whirlwind of loss, luck, hard work, determination, acceptance and ultimately celebration of life, love and all the relationships in-between that bond together to lead her to a successful, new and happier place. This story is about many things, happiness, loss, starting over and figuring out who you are or who you want to become. But the strong thread that runs through it is that having good friendships make it possible to move forward in whatever you're facing. Cherish those friendships!

Marvelous!

Scrolling through the library for just any book to listen to in order to occupy my mind, I somewhat casually chose this book and now that I’m done…just Wow! This author has a wonderful grasp on evoking emotion through written word. The timing of the storyline is near perfect, the details were just the right amount and it’s nice for there to be a ‘not perfect’ ending. I think it’s more believable sometimes :)
Great book, I will have to read more of this author!

A Story With Heart

This book had so much heart! The characters are likable and the situations relatable. It's all about learning to see the answer to your prayers/ hopes & dreams in things that you had never expected, Sometimes we think we need one thing, but the universe gives us something else, and we realize that's what we needed all along.

This is a feel-good book about true friendship, real family, and learning to pick yourself up and start again when everything falls apart. The book reminds me of my favorite movie, Under the Tuscan Sun, which I love for all the same reasons. Both are stories full of hope.

Marie Bostwick just keeps better and better.

My goodness. This author is a treasure. I love her Cobbled Court series. But this book and Esme Cahill Fails Spectacularly is really just on another level. Wow. I just cannot say enough positive things about her. Get the book. You will love it! (And just so you know, I am not a Bot! Hahahaha

Could not put it down....

I could not put “The Restoration of Celia Fairchild” down! The storyline, characters and breadth of the story was terrific. The performance by Sarah Naughton was also fitting for the fantastic book! Bravo!
